About

Hi, I'm Ethan Wilson.  I am currently a PhD student in computer science at the University of Florida being advised by Dr. Eakta Jain.

I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2019 with a degree in computational media where I jointly learned computer science and game design.  In addition to making games, I like to draw, paint, and do digital 3D modeling and animations in Blender.

As a graduate researcher, I am mostly focused on providing privacy solutions for media that online users interact with.  The bulk of my work is in facial privacy, exploring face swapping as a viable means to provide facial privacy while being much more natural than traditional methods.  I have recently begun investigating privacy in virtual reality, investigating both personal space and the privacy of recorded motion data (bodily movements and/or eye tracking data).  My work in VR has allowed me to use my prior knowledge in game design, building virtual experiments that participants find visually appealing and fun to be involved in.
